    Latest news

Here you can keep up with the latest updates on the project.

    Saturday February 26th

After visiting Chester where we met with both the CFU and the management of the club, we are in a situation where we both have exclusive bidding and a verbal agreement that we can buy the club if we can reach agreement on the economic detail.

    Tuesday February 16th

NOTE! Earlier today our service provider had some technical problems. Our website was down for a short period and apparently we lost the news update from yesterday.

The news about Chesterprojekt.dk hit all Danish and many international media today. We have been contacted by, among others, Politiken, Jyllands Posten, Ekstra Bladet, BT, DR and TV2. TV2 (national television) will follow us to Chester this weekend to cover the tour and spread the news about our project on prime time.
We also had a radio interview today with DR (Danish national radio) where Palle explained about the project.

    Mainsite for the radio show:

    http://www.dr.dk/P4/Smutvejen/index.htm

    Directky to the interview:

    http://www.dr.dk/Forms/Published/PlaylistGen.aspx?qid=1434184

They also made a Chester-ringtone for the mobile phones:

http://www.dr.dk/P3/Tifo/artikler/20090825153227.htm (on Danish and a bit sarcastic in a humorous way)

Unfortunately there has been some miscommunication between us and CFU. It appeared here on our website that CFU was behind us 100%. They have their own option to save the club, but we keep them informed on a daily basis and we will meet with them this weekend to discuss options for future collaboration. They are very important in this project - no fans, no club.

From yesterday's lost news there is to be mentioned thar there has been opened up for the deposit of money for the negotiations (we have to have a guarantee of 500,000). Deposit is through our Danish attorney, AdvoBiz, who provides legal assistance to Chesterprojekt.dk

Deposits may later be used for purchasing shares or repaid 100% and must be paid on the following account:

    Nordea Bank Danmark A/S

    Reg. nr. 2730

    Account nr: 6274 140 109

All client funds paid to AdvoBiz client account is kept on a separate client account in accordance with the rules of the Danish Law Society.

Balances on a lawyer's trust account is fully covered under the Guarantee Act, § 9 paragraph. 2, No. 9

    More details on http://www.advobiz.dk/Chesterprojekt/

    Sunday February 14th

Yesterday at 11.27pm (GMT+1) we recieved a text message from Chester's attorney with an invitation to the negotiations in England.

The requirements for participating in the negotiations is that we deposit 500,000 to our English attorney, this will be done through a Danish lawyer's office and we will start payments tomorrow. Detailed info follows.

Today has been set up a business development committee to prepare a business plan to be used for banks, investors, growth funds, etc. to shoot more money in our project on the long run.

Registration is open to meeting / streaming / SMS vote to kent@chesterprojekt.dk.

There are arranged free bus transport for all to Odense and back, so you must note if you want transport and where you need it from.

Questions can be asked to (remember to read the FAQ):

We need you all to support by the payment (which simply becomes a deposit - everyone gets money back after ending negotiations).

    Saturday February 13th

We are sorry for delay of news - we are very busy with our project, but will keep you informed with news.

Ealier today it was announced that we could not achieve "exclusive bidding" - exclusive rights to negotiate with Chester City FC, because another possible buyer had showed up.

Later it was told that it was TNS from the Welsh league who wanted to buy Chester, to merge TNS and Chester City FC, because TNS always has wanted to play in the English league rather than the less prestigious Welsh league.

This caused big commotion in the city og Chester. The citizens of Chester do not want their club to be taken over by a Welsh club. Therefore we are in dialogue with CFU (the official fan club) and are keeping them informed about the project. In addition to that, the English football association, FA, has declared that there can not be more Welsh teams in the English league, so hopefully they will withdraw their bid.

Our English attorney wants us to put pressure on the negotiating parties and in order to show that we really want this, we are contacting a large number of the English newspapers with a press realease to put focus on our project over there.

We are working on a commitee for business developement - already there has been made an analysis of our possibilities and established a contact to a betting company, who possibly wants to stream the matches of Chester City FC in the future.

Please remember to send your registration for the general assembly to kent@chesterprojekt.dk

nej næppe, men med den udmelding i TV2 Sporten i går aften og i TV2 Nyhederne i dag, er interviewt med mig det mest sete lige nu på TV2's hjemmeside :-)
Til dem der ikke har set interviewet, kan I se det lige her:
    http://sporten.tv2.dk/video/index.php/nodeId-28477545.html

After the interview on the sports news on Danish TV2, our clip is the most watched on their website.

    Thursday February 11th

There has been huge progress today! Our attorney company so far has referred us to a Danish attorney, who residents in England. He is one of the most important in the business and has been involved in 20 club tradings in the last 10 years.

He think our project is so unique, that he has agreed to manage the initial negotiations for free.

Al payments to attorney salary still counts as "entry ticket" to theproject and the money will be used for free transportation, facilities, etc. for the general assembly, by March 6th 2010 (time, place and details vil be published later).

In addition to that we have gained us some media coverage; after the interview for Tipsbladet (Danish betting/sports magazine) yesterday, we had an interview for TV2 Sporten Danish sports news on national television), which will be shown this evening at 22.40 (10.40PM GMT+1).

    UPDATE:

Here is the link for the interview with Palle Rasmussen on Danish TV2.

    Tuesday February 9th

There has been a drift in the negotiations: Our efforts to hire one of Scandinavia's leading law offices have paid off and we have been provided with the sale prospectus which the group's economist, is by looking at the seams. The English lawyer expresses his hope that we can make much faster progress in the negotiations from now on.

    IMPORTANT!

NOTE: There must be paid 100 DKK for account no. 5035 1390765 within the week to attorneys' fees; only those who pay this amount could buy shares in due course.

We have heard from CFU - the official fan club - three times today. They are very enthusiastic about our website (they have used Google to translate) - coming just translated texts on this night. Great thanks to all who helped with translations!

CFU is with us all the way, and in case it becomes us (as we are counting on) they will support us 100%.

There is huge interest in the project and we are flooded in the mail. Therefore: Do not mail us, unless it is important; all questions should be directed to forum in the blog on bold.dk or in the Facebook group. Here, "Blumse" and "Sekretæren" will try to answer all.

    Monday February 8th

We've established contact with a larger Danish law firm which attempts to make contact with the English sides. They need to be paid for their work and therefore we have to collect a little money before the end of the week. We've created a closed account in Jyske Bank where the money will be collected and transferred to the solicitors. The payment will be 100 kroner (roughly £12) per shareholder. This is also a requirement for being able to participate in the project. The surplus, if any, when the lawyer's fees have been paid will be transferred to the CFU, Chester City FC's official fan club. All details can be found in the recently released newsletter. People who are interested in the project can still contact us

Everyone who pays will be considered to be interested in becoming a shareholder and we will create a closed user forum here on the page. The mail that recieves the newsletter will be used for the creation of your user in the forum (more info to come).

Chesterprojekt.dk 's economists have now delivered a report concerning Chesters economy for 2010. It will be sent to all investors.

During the week the Danish sport channel TV2 Sport will be filming a feature on chesterprojekt.dk. The feature will probably be aired in the middle / at the end of the week.

An interview has also been given to the Danish football paper Tipsbladet, which will result in an article about the project one of the following days.

    Sunday February 7th

A trip to Chester is being arranged - it will be on the 24th of April for the last home match against Crawley Town. Further info will follow.

We've got the budget for 2010. Our economists are currently reviewing the numbers and when they're done the budget and our economists' comments will be sent to members by mail.

Starting tomorrow, our consortium has hired a lawyer to represent us in the negotiations for the takeover of Chester City. Everyone is looking forward to seeing things take off.

Facebook group: A Facebook group has been created: Search on "Chesterprojekt" and apply for membership.

Remember to use the "Share on Facebook" feature to spread the word!

    Saturday February 6th

The shareholders behind the Danish bid for Chester FC are hoping to find a good parent club in the vicinity of Chester. There are some clubs which are positioned two to three leagues above Chester FC and these clubs could be interesting for Chester FC to cooperate with. These clubs could be Tranmere, Crewe, Shrewsbury and Port Vale.

This cooperation could see talented youngsters who'll be able to make a positive impact on the squad going on loan to Chester FC. This would probably require some sort of financial compensation.

Glenn Hoddle AcademyAnother possibility in order to get some new players to strengthen the squad is a collaboration with the Glenn Hoddle Academy. The Glenn Hoddle Academy is a relatively new project which brings together players who have been abandoned by the English league clubs but have been lucky enough to get a second chance by the Glenn Hoddle Academy.

The academy is named after the former England international, Glenn Hoddle, and players get to train under optimal conditions so that they may be able to get back into the English league system.

Glenn Hoddle Academy is located in southern Spain, in Montecastillo Resort, which has ideal training conditions almost all year round.
